UncleSam is the resident all-purpose bot on the LostCarrier IRC network. As part of his duties, he not only assists the administrators, but provides channel logging and other useful community activities to the users at large. Below is a very inexhaustive list of the services UncleSam provides, and what channels (if any) they may be found in.

• General Services:
  • Channel Statistics - #bsod, #techcentric (others on channel owner request)
  • "Last Seen" - All Channels (type !seen <nick> to use)
  • "Ping Test" - All Channels (type !ping or !pingme to use)
• Games/Entertainment:
  • Uno - #uno (type !unocmds for help)
  • BOFH Excuse Generator - All Channels (type !bofh to use)

Please note that Sam is slow, old, and has a lot of responsibilities, even if we don't make them all known to you. Because of his enhanced startup, it often takes him a moment or two to begin responding to user requests; if he disappears and then returns, please avoid bugging him for a moment so that he can get up to speed with network activity.
